Brand guidelines

A team needs to know how to use the identity after the design project ends. I am Ali Komeili. We agree on the scope, review stages and usable files before starting. The applications, sizes and production requirements follow where the identity will be used.

Help the next person use the identity.

A team needs to know how to use the identity after the design project ends. I turn the agreed visual system into guidance with examples, so routine decisions do not depend on asking the original designer.

A guide documents an established identity. Missing assets or a redesign of the underlying system are separate tasks, identified during the initial review.

We begin with your existing material and the task you want to solve. I propose a scope before detailed design, then we review the work at agreed stages. Decisions and revision rounds have a clear owner.

The agreed deliverables

A guide covering the agreed logo rules, colours, typography, layout and selected applications. Examples explain placement, hierarchy and common misuse in the formats your team actually works with.

Details we review

We distinguish fixed rules from flexible choices. The guide should answer practical questions such as which logo version to use on a dark background or how much space to leave around it.

Files your team can use

I prepare the approved artwork in the formats agreed for its actual use. We check export sizes, colour requirements and editable source files where included. Your supplier confirms production specifications, and any sample or proof is reviewed before final approval.

Do we need a long brand book?

The useful length depends on who will use it and what they produce. A small team may need a concise practical guide, while several suppliers may need more detailed specifications.

What should I send for the first conversation?

Share the goal, the materials you already have and where the work will be used. If the scope is still unclear, we can identify the priorities together before preparing a proposal.

What needs a separate agreement?

A guide documents an established identity. Missing assets or a redesign of the underlying system are separate tasks, identified during the initial review.

How are price and timing agreed?

I quote for a defined scope. The number of screens, items or formats, readiness of content and required review stages affect the cost and schedule. Deliverables, revision rounds and responsibilities are written into the proposal.

Can we work together remotely?

Yes. I work from Majidiyeh, Tehran, and collaborate remotely. We agree on the language, review contact and file handoff before starting.
